When are the people of Maine going to say to state officials, “enough is enough?”
Our past and present governors have done nothing but tax us to death.
How are people going to make-do this year? Electricity costs so much to deliver but where are the deliverymen? City water costs outrageous amounts and people can’t even drink it without being afraid that there’s something wrong with it. The cost of oil is out of this world, and our government isn’t doing anything about it.
I believe that people who have stock in the utility companies should not be allowed to vote for rate increases.
Rents are also outrageous. Landlords must think they are in Massachusetts or California. And what does $7 an hour get you? That’s $280 a week, before taxes. Could our government officials live on that? That doesn’t even pay the rent. And people earning that who seek help from the Department of Health and Human Services or Community Concepts can’t get it because they make a dollar too much to get any help.
I believe that our government officials have lost their heart and forgotten where they came from.
