Sunday walks

PARIS – The Southern Maine Volkssport Association will hold 5K and 10K walks on Sunday, June 25, starting between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., in South Paris.

Supper, walk

FALMOUTH – Southern Maine Volkssport Association will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday June 28, for a potluck supper and walk at Gilsland Farm, Maine Audubon, Route 1. For more information, e-mail [email protected].

Tickets available

TOPSHAM – Raffle tickets for a new 2006 Corvette are available from the American Cancer Society. Second prize in the drawing is $1,000 cash, and third prize is $500 cash. The drawing will take place on Aug. 26. A total of 1,500 tickets will be sold for $100 each.

Peony tour

FALMOUTH – Maine Audubon will hold its annual meeting and Peony Bloom and Ice Cream Social at Gilsland Farm Audubon Center from 5:50 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29.

The evening will begin indoors with Maine Audubon’s annual meeting, then continue outside in the peony garden with a presentation of annual awards and recognition of longtime members, volunteers and supporters.

At 6:30 tours of the garden and other areas where peonies bloom at Gilsland Farm will begin.
