Joseph S. Marston of Andover has signed on for a five-year tour of duty with the U.S. Army and has completed nine weeks of basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. He is now stationed in Redstone, Ala., where he will begin his AIT training for radar maintenance and repair, then move on to Oklahoma for the completion of his training.

Marston is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Marston of Andover and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Childs of Dixfield and Lorraine Marston of Andover.
