NORWAY – Voters in Norway and Paris returned incumbent selectmen to office Tuesday.

Norway Selectman Russ Newcomb defeated challenger Tim Ingram by 24 votes. Newcomb has served the town for six years.

In Paris, longtime incumbent Gerald Kilgore beat out opponent Robert Ripley by 123 votes. Kilgore has sat on the board for 12 years.

Meanwhile four candidates tried to snag a seat vacated by Paris Selectman Kenneth West, who served only one year before resigning.

With 298 votes Ernest Fitz prevailed over candidates George “Buddy” Coffren, Ruth-Ann Brazier and Raymond Garnett.
