TOPSHAM – Five choruses from across the state will present a variety of ballads and upbeat tunes in barbershop harmony at the Fourth Annual All Maine Barbershop Concert Saturday, June 17, at the Orion Performing Arts Center.
Later in the concert, nearly 90 male voices from these five choruses will combine as The All Maine Barbershop Chorus for a medley of songs under the direction of guest conductor Todd Lamson, director of the Silk City Chorus of Manchester, Conn.
Participating Maine Choruses will be Maine-ly Music Chorus of Bangor, Hillsmen of Norway-Paris, Kennebec Valley Chordsmen of Waterville, Nor’easter Chorus of Brunswick, and the Downeasters Chorus of Portland.
These choruses are part of the Northeastern District of the international organization, Barbershop Harmony Society.
The 7 p.m. concert also features two guest quartets: Fifth Dimension of the Portland Downeasters chorus and Men in Black, the current International Collegiate Barbershop Champions.
Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for senior citizens, and $8 for students 17 and under.
Tickets may be purchased at any of the Bull Moose Music Stores in Maine and New Hampshire, Brunswick Bookland at Cooks Corner, Music & Moore Store (Topsham Fair Mall ), and at the door.
