AUBURN – Rotary picked up a pair of wins in recent action in the Auburn Suburban Little League Major Softball Division.

Winning hurler Kristen Whittaker hurled a no-hitter, fanning 18, as Rotary nipped Pepsi 3-2 in an old-fashioned pitchers’ duel.

Emily Johnson struck out 8 for Pepsi. Amanda Turcotte ripped a double for Rotary. Whittaker had a key single. There were no other hits.

Pitcher Kayla Nadeau struck out 12 batters as Rotary trimmed Play It Again Sports 16-1.

Turcotte legged out a triple and then scored on an error.

Alexis Leclerc also had a clutch hit for the winnere.

Elliot

LEWISTON – D.A. Poussard grabbed a pair of victories in the Elliot Little League Major Division. Poussard edged Healey Associates 10-9 as Steve Hinkley, Chris Madden and Colt Steele all collected 3 hits. Connor Anthoine drilled 2 hits for Healey. . . Madden hurled a complete game as Poussard blanked Hannaford 6-0. He fanned 9. Madden and Steele were repeat hitters, both whacking a triple. Forrest Chicoine socked a double for the Grocers. Poussard is now 9-0. . . .Healey defeated Rowe Ford 15-2 in the Majors. Shawn Ricker belted a pair of doubles. Brandon Stone was also a repeat hitter. Joe McKinnen and Ryan Laverdiere both ripped doubles for Rowe.
