RANGELEY – The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission has changed the location of its regional office in Rangeley from 2352 Main St. to 66 Dallas Hill Road. The former LURC office housed the agency for more than a decade.
In an effort to better serve LURC’s customers, the new office building allows for a more efficient work location and is accessible to visitors with disabilities.
LURC Director Catherine Carroll said the Rangeley regional staff will continue to fulfill the steady stream of land use permitting and compliance needs coming from the towns, plantations and unorganized townships within the Rangeley region from their new office.
The Rangeley office is staffed by regional representative Nicole Libby. A second regional representative is currently being recruited to fill the position of former LURC staff member Deena Bean, who left the agency in May. Carroll said other LURC staff members are processing permit applications while the hiring process is under way.
Office hours for walk-ins are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. Additional times and/or site visits may be scheduled by appointment by calling and leaving a message at 864-5064 or by e-mailing [email protected].
