Seniors to meet

AUBURN – Robin Dow Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 425 Washington St. Bingo will be played after the meeting and lunch. There will be a raffle table. Tickets will be on sale for $3 for the cookout on Wednesday, July 12.

Fifty-seven members were present when the group met under the direction of President Merry Strout. June birthdays were acknowledged and Chaplain Patricia Donohue led the group in a moment of silence in memory of Valerie Labrie and Laura Greene.

Alwin Strout was auctioneer for a successful food auction. Attendance prize winners were Theresa Greenleaf and Birdena Whittle; pot of gold, Helen McGuire, Frances Robitaille and Ralph Lashua. Bingo was played after lunch.

Alumni reunion

MONMOUTH – The annual reunion of the Monmouth Academy Alumni and their guests will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 5, in the school gym.

The class of 1956 will host the event and people may begin arriving at 11 a.m. Call Anne Wallace at 933-2242, Donna Frost at 933-2211, Jim Chick at 933-4532 or Shirley Foster at 377-2721 for reservations. Reservations should be made by Saturday, July 29.
