TOPSHAM – Flying Changes Center for Therapeutic Riding will host an Epona “Way of the Horse” workshop designed by international speaker Linda Kohanov, author of “The Tao of Equus” and “Riding Between the Worlds,” Aug. 19 to 21.
The workshop is designed to improve horse/human relationships, strengthen connection to the intuitive authentic self and bring awareness to old survival patterns of behavior that block the natural desire to move from surviving to thriving. Attendance is by preregistration until July 30. Information may be found at www.flyingchanges.org.
On Aug. 22, advanced Epona instructor Shelley Rosenberg will present “Horses as Healers,” a daylong workshop for therapists and others interested in trauma and healing from trauma.
Rosenberg will speak about her soon-to-be-published book, “My Horses My Healers.” Demonstration and practice with horses in the round pen will explore the ways horses can interact with humans and teach humans about themselves and heartful relationships, specifically about boundary setting, assertiveness, safety, authenticity and respect.
Contact FCCTR director Barbara Doughty for information/preregistration at [email protected].
Registration for the workshops is limited, add the deadline for registration is June 30.
