Jessica Shannon Castonguay, DO, daughter of Thomas and Gale Shannon of Lewiston, graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W.Va., with a degree of doctor of osteopathic medicine on May 27.

Castonguay earned membership in Psi Sigma Alpha, a national osteopathic scholastic honor society and a merit-based tuition waiver while attending the school. She served as class secretary in 2002-2004, secretary of Undergraduate American Academy of Osteopathy in 2003 and president of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in 2003.

Castonguay has a BS in biology with a minor in chemistry from Cedar Crest College. Castonguay and her husband, Deryck, have a daughter, Peyton.
