LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Adult Education summer programs will start Tuesday, June 27, and registration is under way. Classes starting in late June include a small engine repair class, which covers the repair and maintenance of small engines including lawn mowers. The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays for three weeks starting June 28.

A tole painting class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting Tuesday, June 27, for four weeks. Samples of projects can be viewed in the Adult Education Office or on the Web site.

A computer basics class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon starting Tuesday, June 27, for two weeks. The basic class will teach students how to use a mouse and a keyboard. That class will be followed with a four-week “Computers for Complete Beginners” class meeting on Tuesdays at the same time. A six-week Keyboarding I class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Tuesday, June 27. The class will teach keyboarding skills for students who seek to develop speed and accuracy for career or educational purposes.

A math refresher class will begin Tuesday, June 27. The class is intended for adults who would like to refresh math skills needed for employment or in preparation for college placement classes. The class will meets for seven weeks from 6 to 9 p.m.

Academic courses offered for students seeking high school diploma credit will be Algebra II and British literature. The academic classes will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting June 27.

GED testing will be offered during the summer on Mondays from 2:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Adults must be 18 to take the tests. Accommodations are available for students with disabilities.
