LEWISTON – Lots to Gardens will host its annual Flower Planting Potluck party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Blake Street Community Garden, 243 Blake St.

The public is welcome to come and enjoy a community meal and plant colorful flowers in the neighborhood. Everyone is encouraged to bring a pot of food to share and a pot for a flower to take home.

Lots to Gardens offers gardening and nutrition programs that help hundreds of people in the community grow their own food, learn to value fresh and local produce and learn to prepare nutritious meals.

Teenagers who are involved in Lots to Gardens youth training programs give a summer of service to others, receive job training and participate in empowering themselves and their community.
