TURNER – Town officials have issued an updated list of persons who can issue burning permits within town limits. With the list comes the reminder that permits are not issued prior to 9:30 a.m., giving the fire warden and chief time to determine the risk factor for the day and whether or not burn permits will be issued.
The following persons/offices and phone numbers should be contacted by those seeking burning permits: Ross Gagne, the assistant fire chief and fire warden, 225-5325; Rodney Guptil, 224-7345; Leo Gagnon, 225-3022; Jerry Forgues, 225-3922; Mike Arsenault, fire chief, 224-7788; and personnel at the Fire/Rescue Building in Turner Village, 225-3353.
