SABATTUS – While selectmen discussed what night would be available for Girl Scout Troop 2186 to meet in the municipal building, resident Mara Duncan directed the question in another direction – to the fire chief.
Fire Chief Don Therrien said without hesitation that the troop could meet on the first and third Mondays at the department’s 72 Main St. location.
“All I ask is that they pick up after themselves and don’t block access to my trucks,” Therrien said.
There are a few vacant spots for girls who want to join the troop. For more information, contact the town office. Meetings run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
