BETHEL – Fiddler Erica Brown and pianist Bob Choiniere will perform at 4 p.m. July 23 on the Bethel Common.
Brown and Choiniere are part of the lineup in the Bethel Bandstand Concerts series presented by the Mahoosuc Arts Council this summer. Among their selections will be French-Canadian jigs.
Brown has released four CDs and has won numerous fiddle contests throughout New England and Canada, as well as being named Junior Female Entertainer of the Year by the Maine Country Music Association in 2003.
Choiniere, a resident of Rochester, N.H., grew up in St. Albans, Vt. He was raised in a musical family – his dad played harmonica and his uncle played the fiddle. As a young child, Choiniere was part of many soirees in his home. After graduating from Berklee School of Music, he continued performing in the Boston area for 10 years. Twenty years later, he now finds himself playing the music he loves and began playing as a child.
