CONWAY, N.H. (AP) – A portion of the popular Boulder Loop Trail along Kancamagus Scenic Byway in will be temporarily closed beginning Monday.

A spokeswoman for the White Mountain National Forest said the trail will be closed three-to-five weeks Monday through Thursday for reconstruction.

She said trail crews will be working on the right hand fork on the southeast side from the loop fork to the summit.

Hikers are asked to travel in a clockwise direction to the summit and descend using the same route to avoid the fork.

Signs will be posted as reminders.
