STRONG – As required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act of 1996, the Strong Water District has released its eighth annual Consumer Confidence Report.

The report details the water’s quality, the source of the water and the results of testing done during the preceding year.

Anyone with concerns about the quality of Strong’s water can call the Safe Drinking Water Hotline, 1-800-426-4791. Customers of the Strong Water District who have not received a copy of the report or who want extra copies should call Betty Whittemore, 684-3875, and leave a message. The report is also posted on Maine Rural Water Association’s Web site, www.mainerwa.org.
