LEWISTON – Lots to Gardens will host a composting workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at Franklin Pasture Community Garden on the corner of Jefferson and Birch streets, off the bike path behind the softball field.
Come learn how can turn your garbage into super-rich soil, how you can compost in a small apartment and how you can grow your own worms for fishing.
By participating in this composting workshop, you will learn how to build and maintain your very own worm bin that you can take home with you at the end of the workshop.
There will be a sliding scale fee of $10-$25 to cover costs of materials, free for those that just want to come and learn. Some scholarships are available. Contact Bridgette at Lots to Gardens at 753-6944 to sign up.
