INDUSTRY – The mysterious death of a Livermore man inside a parked car on Industry Road is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department, Lt. Niles Yeaton said Monday.

Mike Drown, 37, was found in a car parked in an Industry driveway at 12:30 p.m. on July 17 by acquaintances, who dialed 911 when they realized he was in trouble, Yeaton said. By the time an ambulance arrived, Drown was dead.

Yeaton said there were no signs of foul play on Drown’s body, but police and ambulance workers could find no obvious cause of death, either, so they sent the case to the state medical examiner.

Yeaton said results from toxicology scans will not be available for four or five months.

“At this point, we don’t know what the cause of death is,” he said.

Attempts to reach members of Drown’s family for comment were unsuccessful Monday.
