AUSTIN, Texas – “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” has announced that Kelly Davis of Buckfield has been named in the national publication for her junior year.
The publication honors outstanding students on their achievements in academics, athletics, school and community service. A biography on Davis will appear in the “Who’s Who” 40th annual edition. Five percent of the students from the nation’s 24,000 high schools are recognized.
Davis, 17, is the daughter of Scott and Holly Davis of Buckfield. She is a junior at Edward Little High School where she is a member of the chamber choir, drama club and show choir. She is also a member of the cross country running and alpine ski teams.
Davis has served as a delegate for the Junior Statesmen of America, an ambassador for the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership forum, a YMCA volunteer, a recent National Honor Society member and is also a member of the U.S. Achievement Academy. For the last 11 years she has studied piano.
This summer Davis attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Boston, joining high school students from around the country who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and an interest in a career in medicine.
