Grange picnic
WINTHROP – Winthrop Grange 209 will gather for its annual picnic at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the Maxim cottage on Androscoggin Lake, Wayne. Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be provided. Members should bring a dish to share and lawn chairs. A short business meeting will conclude the evening.
Eat local
LEWISTON – Lewiston Farmers’ Market will join Lewiston youth for “Eat In/Act Out” on Tuesday, Aug. 1, a day celebrating National Eat Local Week. Music, a drum circle and games are planned.
Local produce will include lettuce, spinach, snow peas, shell peas, carrots, herbs, herb seedling, garlic scrapes, new potatoes, corn, cucumbers and perennial flowers.
The market is held from 2 to 6 p.m. at Kennedy Park near the corner of Bates and Pine streets.

Grange supper
MINOT – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Minot Center Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. Youth and Junior Night will be observed at the 7:30 p.m. meeting. There will also be a silver march and an attendance drawing. All members and guests are welcome.
Scrapbook day
LISBON FALLS – Lisbon United Methodist Church will hold a scrapbooking day on Sept. 30 to raise funds for the church, 14 School St. Creative Memories Consultant Michelle Huston will teach a beginner’s class in the morning. There will be make-and-take kits, demonstrations, door prizes and goodie bags.
The cost is $20 if paid by Sept. 15. It will be $25 after that. Lunch is included, and snacks will be available all day.
