WEST PARIS – Karen Ney was installed as postmaster by Randy P. Michaud, manager of post office operations, U.S. Postal Service, District of Maine, at the town office recently.
He was the keynote speaker and performed the swearing-in ceremony and the presentation of commission. Ney’s husband, James, held the Bible for the ceremony.
Family members present were Anna Antignano, Ney’s mother; children, Matthew, Christopher and Jennifer; and granddaughter, Taylor.
After being sworn in and receiving her commission, Ney spoke briefly, thanking all for their support and for being there for her special day.
A welcome speech was delivered by Bertha DeHaas on behalf of the town. Closing remarks were given by Michaud. A buffet lunch was served.
