LEWISTON – Gipper’s-White Rock took a double-header from King Cobras in weekend action, taking the opener 10-8. Bob Haskell and Jesse Robitaille both cracked homers. Repeat hitters for the Cobras were Mike Riel, Don Bowen, L. Vallee and Tony Cio. . . In the second game, Haskell, Ben Kelsey and Robitaille all belted the long ball as Gipper’s-White Rock prevailed 14-9. Joe Hogan, Brandon Webster and Randy Dubay were other repeat hitters. Bowen and J. Nadeau walloped homers in a losing effort.

In the third game of the day, Gipper’s beat Imports 12-6 as all of its bombs came off the bats of Kelsey, Robitaille and Haskell. Dan Martin and Jim Webster were repeat hitters.

AUBURN – Meineke Car Care earned 2 wins in recent action. Greg Rose clouted 2 homers and Ryan Wilson and Brad O’Connor added 4 hits each as Meineke trimmed the Sun Journal 21-7. O’Connor drove in 5 runs. Scott Albert contributed 2 hits and 4 RBI. . . Mike O’Connor went 4-4 to power Meineke to a 17-5 win over Tail Gators. Wilson and Tom Wing drilled 3 hits each and Fod Martin homered.
