Town office moves
CANTON – The Canton Town Office will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 5, and Monday, Aug. 7, so that personnel may move into the new town office at 9 Staples Hill Road. It will open for business at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9.
Peru picnic
PERU – Peru Recreation Department’s awards picnic for all summer programs will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Honeyrun Campground, Worthley Pond. For more information, call 562-0911.
Class luncheon
MEXICO – The class of 1952 from Stephens High School will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the Covered Wagon for the monthly luncheon. All class members are welcome. For more information or reservations, call Barbara at 364-3470.
Bible school
RUMFORD – The Rumford United Methodist Church will hold a Vacation Bible School, “Club Can Do-Son Treasure Island,” from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 7 to 11.
The program will consist of Bible stories, crafts, music, recreation, snacks and activities. From 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, the children will go to the Rumford Community Home to share songs, Bible verses and stories with the residents.
The week will culminate on that day, with a spaghetti dinner for the participants and their immediate families followed by a program in which the children will showcase their activities of the week.

Flower show
ANDOVER – The 55th annual Flower Show, “Gateway to the Forests,” will be open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Andover Historical Society Building.
Entries will be received between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4. Doors will be closed during judging. Entries need to be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
