LEEDS – Elmer and Shirley Smith of Leeds celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 14. They were married at Keene’s Corner Church in Leeds, by the Rev. Orlo Peter.
A party was given by their children on July 4 at their home.
Mr. Smith is the son of the late Harvey and Clara Smith. Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Alton and Erna Pease.
They have five children, Carole, Michael, Wayne, Gary and Rachael. Carole and Rachael reside in Pennsylvania and Michael, Wayne and Gary reside in Maine. They also have 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
