RUMFORD – Walter W. Kyllonen, 77, of South Paris died Friday evening, Aug. 4, at the Rumford Community home.

He was born in Norway on Oct. 28, 1928, the son of Waino and Ethelyn Damon Kyllonen. He attended local schools and worked various jobs.

He enjoyed farming. He raised livestock and ran a veggie stand on Route 26 in West Paris.

He enjoyed watching the Patriots and was one of the Boston Red Sox biggest fans. He also enjoyed relaxing with a cold Budweiser and instant scratch tickets, playing the Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers daily.

He lived a full life and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Walter is survived by five nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and -nephews; and 11 great-great-nieces and -nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters, Grace Hamlin and Helen Mills; brothers, John, Carl and Waino Jr.; and his parents.
