BATH (AP) – A 23-year-old Bath man has been charged with arson in connection with a May 4 fire that destroyed the former Stinson Canning Company.

The arrest of Franklin Dolliver was announced at a Monday afternoon news conference held by law enforcement and fire officials in Bath.

Dolliver was being held at the York County Jail in Alfred on an unrelated probation violation charge.

Dolliver will make his first court appearance on the arson charge this week in either West Bath District Court or Sagadahoc Superior Court in Bath, officials said.
