TURNER – Greene Central School Principal Thomas Martellone will present his plan for dealing with unruly students to SAD 52 directors Thursday night, Supt. Thomas Hanson said Tuesday. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at Tripp Middle School library.

The plan was developed after parents complained early this year that about one-third of the 37 first-graders hit, punched, shoved and sometimes spit on their peers. Parents asked for a written plan to deal with the situation.

Hanson said Martellone will report on the plan he has developed for dealing with the students in the coming school year, and the board will review and discuss that plan.

Hanson said parents of incoming second-graders this fall are welcome to attend Thursday’s board meeting and speak.
