This is in response to Michael Milbury’s letter, published Aug. 3.
I believe that everyone’s religious beliefs need to be respected. The United States was founded by immigrants who wanted religious freedom.
While I do not believe in forcing my religion on anyone, last year, of my own free will and choice, I converted to Islam. I believe that Islam is the only true religion and a way of life. I have no regrets about becoming a Muslim.
This year I had my first and middle names legally changed to Muslim names.
