FARMINGTON – Evangeline June Libby Parker, 87, of Farmington, died Sunday evening, Aug. 6, when she took Jesus’ hand and went home to see her husband and son who passed before.
She was born April 16, 1919, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the first child of Isaac and Idella (Wyman) Libby.
She is survived by her son, Gilbert Parker of Jay; her daughter, Sharon and her husband, Gaylon Rogers of Norridgewock; her grandchildren, Chad Pomelow and his wife, Debbie, and their children, D.J. “David” and Lee; Todd Pomelow and his wife, Tanya of Fairfield; Beth Pomelow-Pearl and her husband, Edward “Ed” and their children, Tomus “Tom” and Alisha “Ali”; and Jody Pomelow.
She also leaves special friends, Marvin and Sherry Storer of Jay, who were always there for her; her sisters, Ethel Perry and her husband, Orman, of Wilton, Katie Daley and her husband, Eddy of Dixfield, and Polly Winter and her husband, Almon of Weld; brothers, Clinton “Bud” Libby and his wife, Connie, of Dixfield, and Clayton “Kelly” Libby and his wife, Denice, of Dixfield.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Alton, in 1977, their son, Mark, who died in 1992; and three sisters, Geraldine “Gerry,” Elizabeth “Betty” and Lillian “Lil.”
