RUMFORD – The Rumford-Mexico classes of 1971 will hold a joint 35-year class reunion on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Rumford Eagles Hall. A social hour will start at 5 p.m., followed by the meal at 6. Photos will be taken following the meal and the band, Hooligans, will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Those who would like to attend but not eat may socialize and have their picture taken with their respective class for no charge until the band starts at 8 p.m.
At around 7 p.m., the group will divide and meet with their respective school to take care of business and have a school class picture taken. Those wishing to stay for the band will be asked for a donation to help cover the cost.
A dance dedicated to “Friends of 1971” will be held Friday, Aug. 11, at the Rumford Eagles Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the E and I Band performing from 7 to 11 p.m. It is for Rumford-Mexico High School alumni from the years 1966 to 1976. Tickets sold at the door will be $5.
