AUBURN – The Auburn Rec Players’ Softball League playoffs are scheduled to begin next week. It’ll be a double-elimination tourney.

Following is the opening schedule:

Monday, August 14: Game 1, Hart Transportation vs Tail Gators, Lakeview-1, 6:00; Game 2, Gritty’s vs Meineke Car Care, Pett., 6:00; Game 3, Motor Home Center vs RDB Construction, Pett., 7:30.

Tuesday, August 15: Game 4, Sun Journal vs S&D Sheet Metal, Pett., 6:00; Game 5, Main-Land vs Major Automotive, Pett., 7:30; Game 6, Uncle Andy’s vs Reggie’s Sales & Service, Lakeview-1, 6:00.

Wednesday, August 16: Game 11, Loser 2 vs Loser 3, Pett., 6:00; Game 12, Loser 5 vs Loser 6, Pett., 7:30.

Thursday, August 17: Game 7, Melanson-Webber Avenue Club vs Winner 1, Pett., 6:00; Game 8, Winner 2 vs Winner 3, Tribou Field, 6:00; Game 9, E.S.M. vs Winner 4, Pett., 7:30; Game 10, Winner 5 vs Winner 6, Lakeview-1, 6:00.

The tourney continues August 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, leading to the championship game on Wednesday, August 30 at 7 p.m. at Pettengill.
