LACONIA, N.H. (AP) – Police are looking for a would-be cigar shop burglar who eluded an officer and his police dog.

According to police reports, two witnesses saw a man breaking the front window of Happy Jack’s Cigar, Pipe and Tobacco Shop around 2:30 a.m. Friday. The witnesses said they tried to chase him down, but stopped after the man pulled a knife.

That’s when they called police, who are still looking for the suspect.

The suspect is described as being in his late twenties, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and having a dark complexion. He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark clothes.
