HOBE SOUND, Fla. – Laurette C. Paradis died peacefully, July 20.

She was born in Lewiston on June 3, 1923, the daughter of Marie Anne and Adelard C. Paradis.

She attended local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1941.

She was an avid reader, with a dynamic personality and many friends.

She moved to Hartford, Conn., where she worked at Pratt-Whitney, later transferring to Pratt-Whitney in West Palm, Fla.

She leaves three sisters, Jeannette Bonenfant of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Alfreda Paradis of Lewiston, and Georgette Sweat of Stuart, Fla.; three brothers, Wilfrid Paradis of Lewiston, Robert Paradis of LaTuque, P.Q., Canada, and Gerard Paradis of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Paul Paradis of Auburn and Texas.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound on July 22. A graveside ceremony was held on Aug. 3 at St. Peters cemetery with Fr. Dan Greenleaf officiating.
