AUGUSTA – Dawna E. Savory, 67, of Maranacook Station Lane, Winthrop, died Saturday, Aug. 12, at MaineGeneral Medical Center.

She was born in Mapleton on July 13, 1939, the daughter of Eursel C. and Doris M.(Dow) Campbell.

She was a graduate of Freeport High School. She had worked for H.P. Hood, Carleton Woolen Mill, and most recently was self-employed.

In her younger years, she loved to swim. She enjoyed being with friends, family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She also liked reading, cooking and spending time at their home on the lake. She loved to travel. She had been on many trips including Scotland, Lake Tahoe and Hawaii. She also enjoyed spending time at camp on Kingsbury Pond.

She was a member of the Winthrop United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her father, Eursel Campbell of New Gloucester; her husband and partner of 23 years, Dan Savory of Winthrop; three daughters, Kelly Brooks and her former husband, Steve, of Augusta, Kristy Vickerson and her husband, Jim, of North Monmouth, Kimberly Hallowell and her husband, Bernard, of Monmouth; a sister, Anita Campbell and her husband, Alfred Proctor, of New Gloucester; five grandchildren, Erica, Emily, Ryan, Tade and Robert; a great-granddaughter Morgan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was predeceased by her mother, Doris Campbell, and a brother, Roger Keith Campbell.
