LACONIA, N.H.(AP) -Choppy waves are blamed for two boating injuries on Lake Winnipesaukee on Saturday. According to New Hampshire Marine Patrol, Lisa Hamed, 28, of Upton, Mass., bruised her ribs after the boat she was riding in hit waves, throwing her into the air and down onto the gunwale.

An 18-year-old from Wellesley, Mass., broke her arm after being launched into the air when the tube she was riding on hit rough waves. Marine Patrol says the teen, Laura Keeler, landed on her arm before falling into the water. She was treated and released at Lakes Region General Hospital.
