LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education will hold interviews for its fall Certified Nursing Assistant Program on Tuesdays, Aug. 15 and 22. Interviews will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Lewiston High School.
Nursing skills will be taught in an interactive classroom setting and a two-week clinical experience. The course will focus on theory and application, including basic anatomy, physiology and clinical performance. Successful completion will provide participants with the skills and experience necessary to be state certified as a nursing assistant.
All applicants must have a high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate, attend an interview and take the Test of Adult Basic Education. Students who have recently taken the test should bring a copy of their scores to the interview.
Testing will be done before the interviews on both days for people who have not been recently tested. Those taking the test should arrive at the school at 1:15 p.m. There is no charge.
For information, including dates, times and fees, see the Lewiston Adult Education fall program brochure, call 795-4141 or go to the newly designed Web site at www.lewistonadulted.org.
