RANGELEY – Local musicians Sue Downes-Borko and Victor Borko will bring Belle and the Beast to life with performances Aug. 16 to 19 in ACME Productions presentation of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”

The show begins at 7 p.m. in the Rangeley Lakes Regional School gymnasium, which will be transformed into a village, forest and castle to create the backdrop for this classical fairy tale. The story is full of humor, romance and suspense.

The supportive cast includes Sean Danforth as Gaston, Larry Hall as Maurice, Erin Smith as Mrs. Potts, Tim Straub as Lumiere, Joan Dunlap as Cogsworth and Carolyn Smith as Madame de le Grande Bouche. Sonja Johnson and Susan Hamilton direct and Sherry Connally produces with choreography by Pam Ellis. Andrea Keirstead lends her expertise as musical director.
