Lobster rolls abound along the New England coast – and so do the options.

INGREDIENTS: Bread and lobster. Everything else is debatable, but it might include mayonnaise, drawn butter, lettuce, celery, salt, pepper and lemon juice.

STYLES: Some fans near New York and Connecticut favor sprinkling their lobster with hot, drawn butter on toasted bread. Many New Englanders use the toasted bun or roll, but prefer their lobster mixed with mayonnaise and celery for some crunch.

PRICE: Expect to pay between $12 to $17. Prices fluctuate with the lobster market. Bring cash because many seafood shacks don’t take credit cards.

WHAT YOU GET: Most seafood shacks deliver this delicacy on a paper plate, usually with french fries, chips or a few pickles.

CALORIES: About 300-500.
