The accounting assistant certificate program will help prepare adults to work in an accounting department or office. Courses included this semester will be “Excel,” “Principles of Accounting II” and “QuickBooks.”
The medical office certificate program will focus on skills needed in the growing area of medical office support. Classes this semester will be “Medical Billing,” “Medical Coding” and “Medical Terminology.”

Many programs start the week of Sept. 5, but spaces are limited and advanced registration is required.
Courses are also being offered to help people explore, learn or develop more skills in a variety of trade and career areas. The night classes will be taught by professional trades people and will allow for hand-on learning by the student.
“Automotive Repair,” “Electricity in the Home,” “Woodworking” and “Welding” will start in September. Details, including dates, times and fees, can be found at the Web site. The classes are small and early registration is suggested.
Registration can be done on-line, by phone, by mail or at the Adult Education office located at Lewiston High School. Call 795-4141 for details.
