LEWISTON – Health Club-Buddy T’s (4) upset Gipper’s-White Rock (1) as playoffs began Monday night in the National League. The second game of the best-of-3 series was set for last night, with the “if” game slated Thursday.

In the other National League series, BT Pallet (2) edged Import Auto (3) 10-9 in an 8-inning thriller. The second game is set for tonight at 6 o’clock at Randall-3.

In the American League playoffs Monday, Poland Spring (1) outslugged Varsity Lettering (4) 25-15. Game 2 was scheduled for last night, with the “if” game slated tonight at Randall-2.

In the other American League series, Allaire Construction (2) and Ducharme Masonry (3) were slated to meet last night. Game 2 is scheduled for tonight at Upper Franklin, with the “if” game set for Thursday.

Auburn Players’ League

AUBURN – Motor Home eliminated Sun Journal 18-5 Monday night in playoff action. Dave Langlois and Dave Lapointe both homered. Dan Smith was the winning pitcher.

In other action, Melanson-Webber ousted Uncle Andy’s.

Two losers’ bracket games are slated tonight at Pettengill. The winner of Reggie’s-Tail Gators will meet the winner of S&D Sheet Metal-Gritty’s at 6:00, followed at 7:30 by a clash between Motor Home and Melanson.
