STODDARD, N.H. (AP) – A jet boat driver from Long Island suffered head injuries after striking some rocks in a lake and getting thrown from the boat.
Thomas Trypaluk, 38, experienced a steering problem Saturday evening while driving the twin engine boat, which was propelled by a jet of water, in Highland Lake and rammed the craft into a rocky area, New Hampshire Marine Patrol said. He and a male passenger were thrown from the boat.
Trypaluk, who’s from Rocky Point, N.Y., was airlifted to a hospital. The passenger refused treatment.
