FARMINGTON – Mary Beth Morrison of Farmington will make a return appearance at Heirlooms of Tomorrow as the artist of the month in September. An open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2. Morrison will be on hand to meet and greet her friends and patrons and explain her work and technique.

The Farmington Art in the Park, the fall Sugarloaf Upcountry Artist Show and galleries keep Morrison challenged and busy.

Local artists Ron Parlin, Stan Kierstead and Marni Lawson have all given her direction. She paints landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and winter scenes. She has undertaken numerous commissions for personal homes.

Morrison maintains a studio/gallery in her home, Braided Streams Studio and Gallery, and has offered courses in watercolor and acrylic.

Heirlooms of Tomorrow is located at 710 Wilton Road across from Franklin Memorial Hospital. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
