BUCKFIELD – John Condon scored four goals, three times answering Valley when it kept cutting the deficit to one, to lead Buckfield to a 6-4 triumph over the Cavaliers.

Two of Condon’s goals came off corner kicks from Cy Wilkinson. Kyle Rines and Zach Cowett also scored.

Stephen Staples of Valley scored late in the first half, and Cameron Miller and Scott Hunnewell added goals in the second half, but Condon responded each time.

Freshman goalie Nathan Corson stopped 10 shots for Buckfield, while John Honnewell had 10 saves for Valley.

Dirigo 3, Hall-Dale 0

FARMINGDALE – Josh Saphier stopped all 14 shots to lead Dirigo to a 3-0 victory over Hall-Dale.

Jon Smith and Jeff Willis scored first-half goals for the Cougars, while Nick Howe added an insurance tally 15 minutes into the second half.

Paul Koenig of Hall-Dale was credited with 10 saves.

Lincoln 3, Oak Hill 0

WALES – Will Goth scored with four minutes remaining in the first half to send Lincoln Academy to a 3-0 triumph over Oak Hill.

Nate Sandner and Matt Ford added a goal each in the second half during a hard fought and physical game for the Eagles.

Goalie Tom Edgecombe made 10 stops for the Raiders, while Kevin Conant had nine saves.

Girls’ soccer
Buckfield 9, Valley 0

BUCKFIELD – Lindsay Henderson scored a hat trick to lead Buckfield to a 9-0 victory over Valley in EWC girls’ soccer action Saturday.

Kasey Farrington, who had two goals, and Alyssa Henderson, who recorded an assist, controlled the middle of the field as the Bucks executed a strong offensive effort, catapulting 50 shots at Cavaliers’ goalie Alyssa Vitialone. Ashlee Hamman also registered a pair of goals for the Bucks.

LeAnn Abbott contributed with a hard played game in the halfback position.

Carly Carlile and Kayla Jordan shared keeper duties for the Bucks, making one save apiece, while Vitialone turned back 40 for the Cavaliers.
