Lloyd family
DIXFIELD – The descendants of James C. and Mary Ellen Crawford Lloyd gathered for the annual family reunion at the Mountain View Campground on Aug. 5. A Hawaiian luau was the theme. A potluck luncheon was served and craft items, donated by family members, were raffled. Lloyd reunion T-shirts were sold for the treasury.
The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Michael O’Neil of Salem, Mass., who donated it back to the treasury.
There were 62 in attendance, traveling from various areas around the state and from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida. Traveling the furthest distance was Barbara Whitehouse of West Palm Beach, Fla.
The oldest member present was William Morse Sr., 82, of Mexico, and the youngest members were Esperamza Faith Kenney, 1 year, daughter of Teresa and Jeff Kenney of Lisbon Falls, and Jordan Elizabeth Hanson, 18 months, daughter of Troy Hanson and Wendy Vachon of Hollis.
Photographs, reminiscing and memories were shared. The family’s most recent loss was Mary Ellen Giroux.
Members were reminded to submit recipes for the family cookbook. Susan Pike will continue to be the secretary for the event and Donna Hanson and Cindy Archibald will remain treasurers.
The next reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at the Mountain View Campground and subsequent reunions will now be held on the first Saturday of August.
