ALTON, N.H. (AP) – The body of a Raymond man who drowned while swimming in Lake Winnipesaukee last month was recovered Monday after it was spotted by a passing boater.

Officials say Frederick Surette, 51, disappeared Aug. 6 in choppy water off Rattlesnake Island in Alton. Authorities searched for his body for four days without luck.

On Monday, his body was found about a quarter-mile from where he disappeared.
