Veterans from all over New England gathered at the Maine State Fair grounds yesterday for what may be the last reunion for many of them. Over 2000 veterans were at the Fair grounds yesterday and with the Sons of Veterans and the Relief Corps made one of the largest gatherings of the kind in the State.
The early morning trains and electrics were filled with them and by 10 o’clock most of them arrived and were attending their reunions.

On the second day of the school year, which was Wednesday, 140 pupils too many showed up, and the school department will be forced to improvise during this school year.
A Superintendent Russell explained, he counted on a natural influx of 60 to 100 pupils, but the actual figure ran over 200 beyond that. He can accommodate about 80 with available space and teachers. In addition, he can open a third-floor room at Frye Grammar, but that is not a good solution because of the fire hazard.
