AUBURN – Announcement is made of the engagement of Jennifer Leigh Black and Joshua Stuart Rogers, both of New York City, N.Y.

Miss Black is the daughter of James I. Black III and Vikki Black of Scarsdale, N.Y. She is a 1999 graduate of Bates College with a bachelor’s degree in theater. She received a master’s degree in film and television productions from the University of Bristol in Bristol, England, in 2003. She is a freelance documentary producer in New York City.

Mr. Rogers is the son of Douglas S. and Nancy A. Rogers of Auburn. He is a 1994 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in English. He is employed as assistant editor at Zagat Survey in New York City.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 21, in the Old Port in Portland.
