At 7 a.m. Tuesday, 35 volunteers from New Balance and the community gathered at the park at Park and High streets in Paris. By 4:30 p.m., a new playground was built. New Balance donated the equipment for the playground and the recreation department coordinated the volunteer efforts, said Kelsey Jewell, director of Paris parks and recreation. Pictured are Mike Dugas, Shawn Kenney, Tony Orlando and Bill Marshall, who work with New Balance and helped build the playground.
