Mark LaFlamme is an important part of the Lewiston Sun Journal. He is funny and tells it like it really is in our fair city.

He is the man.

I read everything he writes. Everything he does is right on the money and true to life in our not-so-perfect downtown. Now he needs to branch out and write about the suburbs and outskirts, where many more stories and situations abound.

I’m sure many anti-LaFlamme comments come from behind those pristinely trimmed topiary trees outside those $350,000 houses where so-called perfect people live.

Well, I don’t live in a perfect neighborhood, but I sure did enjoy Mark LaFlamme’s special on those Croc shoes that are all the rage. He graciously strode about in those “Crocs” and stole the show, if there was one to steal.

Who gives a snit about graffiti!

So, Mr. LaFlamme should keep writing and bringing us more humor and reality about our “fair” city. I’m tired of hearing trumped-up comments about Lewiston. Makes me think of that story, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
